Planning: Logo

Now for the logo of my magazine, once again I'm gonna try different websites.

Just like popular beauty magazine logos, I wanna go for a formal and sophisticated font for m magazine title, CORAL. I have also decided on a publishing company's name, which is gonna be MAG Z.

From the website https://www.dafont.com/, I first tried a basic serif font, Cinzel,

and then a basic sans serif font, Champagne and limousine, so I could compare both and see which one looked better.

I'm honestly still pretty indecisive as both of these matches the look I want to create for my magazine. So I guess I would have to surf a bit to get the perfect font and logo for my magazine.

On the website https://www.designmantic.com/ I found this logo:

and so I started to edit it, moving the elements around a bit and making a few custom logos.

I like the last one the most! But once again, the website isn't free, so it's really unfortunate that I cannot use it.

Research: School Magazine Logos

Some magazines improve their logos by using different colour schemes, different fonts and so on. This could sometimes be based on the various market segments they target. Teach, for example, produces various content magazines based on its targeted market segments. For its education-based neutral content, targeted at a wider, less-segmented audience, it uses a simple, broadly written, sans-serif font.  For its audience segmented as primary and secondary educators, it uses a much informal, bright logo to target its respective audience.

Planning: Sketches

Starting up my work on the preliminary task of creating my own school magazine, the first step was to make illustrations of how I wanted my magazine to look like. For that, I created these sketches.
